沖縄最大級のスタートアップカンファレンスで国内外のSUがピッチを競う！「KOZAROCKS PITCH AWARD」が7月6日（土）開催！
7月6日（土）に開催される「KOZAROCKS 2024」内で、おきなわスタートアップ・エコシステムが主催するピッチイベント「KOZAROCKS PITCH AWARD」。沖縄県内、県外、海外のスタートアップ計9社が出場し、県内外のベンチャーキャピタルや支援関係者を審査員に迎え、グローバル水準の審査基準のもとビジネスアイディアを競います。
優勝企業にはコザスタートアップ商店街入居権やベンチャーキャピタルとの優先相談権の他、スポンサー企業独自の様々な特典を提供！

Hsiung Ko Ching/熊可晴
Turing Drive Inc. Account Manager
Education: National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan; Nara Women’s University, Japan
Experience: Oedo Onsen Monogatari Co., Ltd.; Secretary to the Chairman of a publicly listed IT group; Customer Development Manager for the Japanese market at Turing Drive Inc.
During my studies, I majored in humanities and social sciences. Currently, I am dedicated to the autonomous driving industry, focusing on the needs of local transportation-disadvantaged groups and proposing suitable AD solutions.
I am currently employed at the Business Development Division of my company, holding the title of Account Manager. My primary responsibilities include business development and customer relationship management in the Japanese market. This involves visiting clients, maintaining client relationships, client development, proposal creation, Japanese market research, and establishing offices.

Fourwin株式会社 代表取締役
理化学研究所 生命機能科学研究センター（BDR）や株式会社マーズフラッグでプログラマーとして従事し、創薬シミュレーションや新規サービスの開発、AIの精度改善などIT業務を幅広く経験する。2022年7月に 東京大学大学院情報理工学系研究科UMP-JUSTが主催する第2回アイデアソンに参加して旅行者の交通費を実質無料化するアイディアを考案して最優秀賞を受賞。その後、アイデアを特許出願してアプリを開発し、2023年5月にFourwin株式会社を設立。日本と世界に旅行革命を起こすことをミッションに活動中。

I am a dedicated scientist with experience in Cancer Stem Cell Biology and an entrepreneur with a passion for innovation and problem-solving. As the Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer at EXSURE, I have been instrumental in driving the growth and success of our startup. Over the course of 3 years, I have gained invaluable experience in various aspects of running a company. From building cohesive teams and handling finances, I have honed my skills in diverse areas of business management. Izmari Jasel Alvarez Gaona
Circular Powder Founder
I’m a food and wine scientist with 16 years of experience in both private industry and academia. My expertise includes encapsulation drying technology, research into the chemistry of phenolic compounds, and the upcycling of wine residues. I have extensive experience in food and wine chemistry, biochemistry, and sensory analysis. Last year, I decided to leave my job and fully dedicate myself to building Circular Powder, transitioning my research from the lab to the business side. I’m passionate about the Mediterranean diet, Blue Zones diet, longevity, upcycling, circular economy, sustainability in food production, wine, functional beverages, and FoodTech innovations.
Anh Ngo
Veritus COO/Co-founder
Anh received her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Bio-Sciences from Tohoku University. During her undergraduate studies, she initiated Seaweed4us, a project aimed at empowering local farmers to culture seaweed as biofilters for cleaning wastewater. The team won the first prize in the YSEALI Generation: Oceans Program, receved a $1000 award from the US Government, and successfully raised an additional $1000 through crowdfunding. In 2019, Anh pursued her Master’s in Medical Science at Kyoto University. During this time, she studied skin development and wound healing and published 2 research papers. After graduation, Anh joined ONO Pharmaceutical where she worked in the R&D Department as a researcher/bioinformatician. Her expertise lies in data analysis, AI, drug discovery, intellectual property management, and technology transfer. In January 2024, she left her job at ONO Pharmaceutical to co-found Veritus, a GenAI startup based in Kobe.
Po Chen
Po is a serial entrepreneur with business experience in the U.S., Taiwan, and India. He was previously a Vice President at Morgan Stanley with 13+ years of data security and big data experience. When Po’s father was diagnosed with cancer, he witnessed firsthand the issues with current cancer treatment protocols. The oncologist treating his father was developing a new technology to improve the efficiency of cancer treatment identification, and Po recognized its massive potential. Leveraging this new technology, Po founded CancerFree Biotech with the goal of revolutionizing the field of cancer therapeutics.
David Simpson Watasumi株式会社
Watasumi is a start-up company founded by David Simpson in 2021. The company helps food and beverage factories manage their waste using innovative technology developed by Simpson at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology and Edinburgh University in Scotland, where he is from. Watasumi primarily focuses on transforming waste into clean water and energy using a special biological filter.
The company’s flagship product, ‘Kappa,’ is a compact and adaptable device that can be operated remotely without requiring on-site supervision. This technology is the result of more than 10 years of research and development conducted by Simpson and his team. To make the solution more accessible, Watasumi offers a rental option instead of requiring clients to purchase the product outright, providing them with peace of mind.
The technology has been demonstrated over many years at a major Awamori factory in Okinawa, and it has recently expanded to a whisky distillery in Hokkaido and a sake brewery near Tokyo. The Watasumi team has been growing with young professionals from Japan who want to build practical solutions for impacting climate change.
The company has received global recognition, such as being selected as a Climate Launch Pad Global Finalist in 2021 and receiving the Future Star award at Taiwan InnoVEX 2024.

KOZAROCKS 2024とは？
KOZAROCKS 2024のテーマは 「万国津梁 ～アジアと日本の架け橋としての沖縄～」。
日本国内にとどまらず、海外のスタートアップや投資家が集まります。
かつて船で日本とアジアを結び、貿易によって繁栄した琉球王国。
首里城正殿に掛けられた万国津梁の鐘には、世界の架け橋たる気概が誇らしげに刻まれています。
今もなおその精神を受け継ぐ沖縄は、現代でも国と国、人と人を結び、異なる地域や文化を理解し合う上で重要な役割を担うことができるポテンシャルに満ちています。
KOZAROCKS 2024では、沖縄がアジアと日本の架け橋となる意義を再認識し、新たな繋がりを築くきっかけとなるイベントを目指しています。
